Now in this era, if you check cloud computing is everywhere and most of the applications use the cloud. Now everyone using cloud-based applications one and another way like we use Gmail, video streaming apps like that. Remember that not all clouds are the same and no single type of cloud computing fits all requirements.

Now If you check different kind of industry which are run by the application at a backend like

Banking, Hotel, Healthcare, Finance and Aviation, and many more. Behind the scene, these industries are run using applications and applications hosted on the cloud or databases on the cloud. If you check before cloud into existence applications are hosted on the server and at first, you can’t tell how fast and big your server is. It is not easy to speculate the demand of servers so businesses start with high configuration even they don’t need that much configuration.

So from start business need to invest in

• Server costing
• Energy costing to run a server and coolers for that server
• Workforce cost to handle server
• Operating System license
• So its a recurring cost and needs to pay every month except OS license fees.

Now consider a situation a company needs to develop one application whose names are app1 and for that it required all the things like server, OS, and app1 install on server one. Then company also develop a second application whose name is app2 and if all configuration required for app2 same as app1 then we can install that applications on server 1 but it required all different configuration with the different OS then its not possible to host that application on the same server these conditions are before VM comes into existence. So there is a need for another physical server. So it is very expensive for companies before virtualization.
