It’s pretty glaring that without customers, there is no business and brand. But attracting customers to your new business doesn’t happen overnight. You have to find ways to reach them, draw them in, and keep them coming back for more. Every new business/brand needs a marketing plan that will address how to attract customers and increase sales. To attract customers, a business needs to create SMART goals, understand who the customer is, and how they make purchasing decisions.

These Strategies will help you build a marketing plan that will attract customers to your new business.

Identify your Target Audience and Buyer Personas

One of the most effective tenets of getting customers is knowing your Target Audience and Buyer Personas. This step will require some research, getting out there and talking to different demographics, and some good brainstorming. You need to think about the kinds of people that will be attracted to your product or service (Target Audience). You will also consider general categories (Buyer Persona). Does your business cater toward men, women, or both, for example. You can also break it down by age, income, and location.

Direct Response Marketing

Direct response marketing is a common strategy where prospective customers are asked to engage in a call to action (CTA). This usually involves responding to an email or opting into your email marketing group. The advantage of this strategy is that it helps in creating a directory of interested customers that you can reach out to with sales, events, newsletters, and other reminders to keep your business in front of their minds. Direct response works best when you create intriguing compelling contents designed to attract customers and their collective interest. This can be achieved by offering rewards for completing a particular CTA.

Social Media Leverage

In this current era, social media offers many attractive ways to get customers for businesses. Posting quality contents (photos or videos) about its products or communicate through comments or messages are social media strategies for getting customers. Social media provides an environment where customers can learn about the business or its industry. This will not only increase brand awareness but also boost sales and brand loyalty.

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Keywords Maximization

Keywords or phrases are typed into a search engine to locate a particular subject or answer a query. Web browsers are designed to search those keywords or phrases on websites or articles and present results to the user. Effective SEO will not only place your business at the top of search engine results, but it is also a powerful way to categorize and get customers. While keywords and phrases are valuable, brands must also create engaging and captivating content that offers value and drives conversion.

Influencers Partnership

Influencers are social media people who have gaine followers or audience they appeal to. Brands can partner with influencers who match their business goals or strategies. Influencer promote businesses by using, wearing, or by telling their followers about the brand's products. Influencers that match the brand's niche can hel reach more customers.

Affiliate Marketing Program

Affiliate marketing is similar to partnering with influencers. Affiliate marketing involves people bringing customers and doing the selling for you. An affiliate is someone who receives an incentive for every sale or referral to the business that comes through their website, social media platform or similar avenues. Affiliates get people talking about the business and may greatly expand how many people learn about the products and services.

Finding customers for a new business requires a thick skin and a strong belief in your brand. Have a non-annoying system of follow-up, keep track of your communication with various leads and prospects by using CRM tools.

The system for getting customer is straight forward. You need to entice them to learn about your business through marketing efforts, then you need to build a relationship with them that will hopefully lead to sales.
