The Marv-keting Strategy

New week, new project.

Finally! We were done with the blog project. Not going to lie, we were so thrilled to move onto something new. 3 weeks on a blog. It was time to move on.

This week's project was as tasking as we'd imagined. Time to put our brains to work. Creating a marketing strategy for a small brand.

The newest thing to us about this project were sendinblue and omnisend. Email marketing platforms for creating an email campaign. It was actually weird but yeah was the point of the project: to learn.

We started by researching the two email marketing platforms and just picking whichever one we liked best. And our spirits went with Sendinblue. Unprovoked. With no specific reason.

Next, we decided to choose what industry to pick a brand from. During the course of the internship and bootcamp, we'd worked on Agro-tech, Fin-Tech, Entertainment and Fashion. It was a good idea to pick a new industry. So we have experience in different fields.

The options for the week were Food, Fashion, Skincare, Cakes, Event planning. We decided to go with Skincare. We picked out a small brand named Marv Organix for the project. An organic Skincare brand.

Next thing to do, research the Skincare brand and find out more about skincare in general. That took us a day.

After researching, we started working on the content marketing strategy. In order for everyone to do equal parts of the work, we decided to all make individual marketing strategies and then we'd edit them all to make one finished product. Best decision honestly.

4 strategies later and a member of of the group made a rough edit on the marketing strategy. As per, I personally interviewed the owner of the brand, there were some things I knew that the rest didn't. So a final editing was done on the marketing strategy.

The marketing strategy consisted of:

  • Content Marketing • Content Plan • Content Calendar
  • Social Media Marketing • Instagram Marketing • Facebook Marketing • WhatsApp Marketing
  • Email Marketing

Things we were familiar with. The only unfamiliar thing was Sendinblue. Hopefully, it wouldn't seem so hard considering it was the next thing to do. Life had other plans though.

Time to create the account on Sendinblue. We had to create emails to test the email marketing campaign and make sure it worked. When that was done, challenges started. The mail created in the Sendinblue account didn't want to send. Emails were bouncing back.

All in all, the email copy was actually really good in the site. https://sh1.sendinblue.com/vtn4ykzglpfe.html?t=1657481151

That basically concluded this week's project. Fingers crossed 🤞🏽.
