Our Journey Continued....
Hello guys!!!!
Welcome back.
Thanks for staying with us. We really appreciate you for believing and accompanying us in this journey; we are so grateful.
Firstly, I'd like to apologise for the delay. I wasn't able to keep you updated on our progress for the 4the week due to some unforeseen circumstances.
But guess what?
We're definitely not going to just turn a blind eye to that. This week is going to be really packed; we'd be having the progress report for both the 4th and 5th week.
That sounds amazing right?
Our utmost priority is to always keep you updated, so we'll give anything to achieve this.
Let's go.
Right now, I can't believe we're at the end of week 5 already. Everything looks so quick. Time seems to be passing real quick; it seems just like yesterday when everything started, right from the internship classes down to the Bootcamp. We all started this journey together and here we are!
Can you believe we have just a week left Remember I told you in the first week that the Bootcamp is going to last for Six weeks. ( I'm still yet to ask @Mr Garfield and @drey why everything always last for Six weeks ๐คช๐คช) We have to make the best of this last week, we must not be overwhelmed. There is still work to be done.
That being said, we have a long way to go. Let me give a briefing of what we've done so far.
Yes, I said briefing ๐๐. A lot has been done in the last two weeks. But trust that I'll always try to give you the best.
As usual the deliverables for both week 4 and 5 came in very early. (@drey was not joking with us at all). No slacking at all.
Our team lead (Richard) sends the task for each team to the subteam leaders alongside a word of encouragement to keep the fire burning. He also told us we'd be having our first presentation with the SideHustle team.
A presentation with the great SideHustle Team! ๐ณ๐ณ๐ณ That's a lot!!!! We're going to be giving an account of all we've done so far. It must be perfect. Each subteam head had a stand Meeting with their team members to brainstorm on how the tasks is going to be executed and also prepare towards the presentation.
Hurray!! We had a successful presentation!!! ๐๐๐ The presentation took place on Thursday (of the 4th week). Few minutes to the presentation I was literally fidgeting (you can't blame me oo ๐ฉ๐ฉ we'd be presenting to the great Garfield sooo)
Everything went so smoothly, thanks to our stunning Product Designer Team Lead - Kayboy. Each team presented well; though we were given some reviews on how we can improve our performance.
A very big shout out to every team. You guys are amazing.
Recall that I mentioned in the third week that our ever amazing Digital Marketing and Content Creation Team were working on an end-to-end Marketing plan.
Our wait is over. These guys were able to come up with a strategic plan for the journey of our customers right from marketing touch points (i.e. awareness creation) to the Lead conversion and finally the lead nurturing.
This means that we already have a strategized map of how our customers will translate from being prospects to end users of the app.
These guys are really amazing.
That's not all; you know๐ซฃ๐ซฃ After the review gotten from the presentation it was required of them to make some changes on the Content Calendar. They were able to do this and the end result was really massive (all thanks to the Side Hustle team for the review).
Lastly, they started work on the proposal for Investors.
Yes, you heard that right. We'd be having investors.
I wasn't bluffing when I said we're going to be Brand Owners. MoniTraka is definitely going to be a project turned reality.
Over to the Graphics designing team, both the 4th and 5th week went well though they had issues with decline in member participation but this didn't stop them from making us struck with amazement by the designs they came up with.
In accordance with the review from the presentation about wordy Content and the choice of colour used for the app which was an extremely bright yellow. These guys had to ensure the problem was fixed and as a result the team has resulted in choosing a much darker shade of yellow.
So far they have been able to create a concrete design style for monitraka, with background elements to match, new shade of yellow for our designs and several designed posts as directed by the content from the Content Creation team(including the carousel post, single posts and infographics)
We had a Happy New Month post on the fourth week and a Happy Eid Kabir on the 5th week as well.
Yes! I almost forgot.
Our long awaited Brand Book is ready!!!!!
At last, the wait is over.
I know you're wondering what a brand book is. A brand book is a guide for every design that would be made for monitraka. It includes a set of defined fonts, the brand colors, photography styles and direction. It is the overall visual identity of a brand.
These guys are sooo creative!
The Product designing team had been giving us back-to-back for the past two weeks. Most especially the team lead - Kayboy; this guy killed the presentation we had with the Side Hustle team. No doubt he has been really amazing (if you're not careful, you're definitely going to be oppressed by these guys. They are great).
At the end of the 4th week, they were able to conclude all designs for the application and they collaborated with the Mobile App Developers to ensure 100% compliance to the design and also improve the design where necessary. Also, they started design on a landing page for the application which was completed in the 5th week.
A big kudos to the Mobile App Developers. They've been giving so much into making this project a successful one irregardless of the difficulties that come their way. Thank you so much guys. Continuous improvement is being carried out on the screens, the sign up and login APIs recey from the Backend Developers.
Well-done guys.
Lastly, to our ever diligent Product Management Team. These guys will stop at nothing to make sure monitraka is a success. They consistently check up on each team to know how far they've gone and the difficulties they might be facing. Each team has a product manager and constantly holds meetings with members of the team to provide a solution to every problem.
That would be all for week 4 and 5.
I hope I was able to meet your expectations.
We appreciate you once again for staying with us.
We're not there yet but we're definitely growing.
Have a lovely weekend
See you again next week.
