Music Player App Case Study
Project Overview
Musica is a music app that allows users to create playlists, listen to songs, and stay up to date. There are numerous music apps, but Musica will stand out because it quickly recognizes any tune if it hears it inadvertently and wants to know more about it.

Problem Statement
Users typically hear excellent music around them but struggle to remember the song names or have to go out of their way to utilise an app with that function to find tunes.
Additionally, they experience stress since they have to return to their music app and look up the song after learning the names of the songs.

- Create a music player app that allows you to scan songs playing in your environment.
- The scan feature will save songs to your music library automatically.

Design Process
User Research
The first step toward solving a user's problem is to understand it. The define stage of the design process helps us understand user needs by excluding the use of implicit bias. We conducted qualitative and quantitative user research.
The following questions were used in our qualitative research
- What method do you use to listen to music?
- What features do you want in a music app?
- What problems do you have with the music app?
- Would you like the same functionality in your music app?
After gathering insights, we needed to conduct quantitative research via a survey with 25 responses to determine our target users. The questions are listed below.
How often do you use a music app?
How often do you use a music identification application?
Would you like a music identification app on your player?
According to our research, our users are disappointed that there isn't a music recognition app for their music player, but they prefer that the app remain in its current form because it is straightforward and simple to use. As a result, we met with the Ui team to discuss the findings of our study and suggest that they use the Jacob’s law of design to help them resolve the problem.

Constantly struggling to remember new songs she hears at events. Having to manually type out a song's title on your music app after using other audio identification apps. Wanting to know a song but not wanting to ask out of fear of being embarrassed.
Competitive Analysis
We used competitive analysis to gain a better understanding of the features, functions, flows, and feelings elicited by the competitors' designs. We also carefully examined the key features, ratings, and strengths of existing apps and compiled a list of them.
