Phase correlation (PC) in Image Watermarking
Aligning two similar images from the same scene taken from different perspectives is known as image registration. This may be due to correction of different scaling factors or rotation angles. Image registration is a basic step for a variety of computer vision and image processing applications. The proposed techniques to solve this problem can be classified into two broad categories. Cases that describe the problem as a feature matching or correlation. Unlike other watermark schemes instead of trying to match a set of specific features across the cover image, in the proposed scheme, standard phase correlation method is used to approach the problem by trying to match the image textures (regions). In fact, this adaptation is accomplished by means of phase correlation in the frequency domain.
