How to delete unlinked folders from iCloud
You might have installed and removed lots of applications if you are somehow like me. The problem is App Folders that are stored in iCloud can not be deleted easily. The bird
daemon will re-download the folder from the cloud if you try.
Uninstall the application on all devices
Delete the folder in the iCloud web interface
Delete every folder related to the application from
~/Library/Application Support/CloudDocs/session/containers
Delete every folder related to the application from
~/Library/Mobile\ Documents/
Relaunch the Finder by
⌥ + right-click
the icon
Note: Use rm -rf
to remove the files at step 3 and step 4. You can select all the folders you want to delete by dragging them into the Terminal window.
