The impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic Era has increased the demand for freelancers - work from home (WFH). Every company in the world has been in demand for freelancers and this has increased the possibilities for most developers to work from home.

Freelancing has been in top trend these days in Pakistan and all over the world. and Startups have been growing day by day as there have been creating environments for all startups and freelancers. There's still a lack of awareness but working on it.

Freelancing and Freelancer

It has been mixed up with some terminologies but the term "Freelancing" means to work independently. Freelancers are often known as independent employees who work on their own for companies part-time or full-time but may not get the same compensation as employees.

The term gets back to the 1800s which means to fight for whoever(company or person) paid them the most for their work.

Employee and Freelancer

Employees mostly work for companies or people who paid them, mostly with fixed salaries, and often they get different things like health insurance or some other benefits.

Whereas freelancers, work independently for a company or person but don't get the same compensation as employees. An employee who works 9-5 where as freelancer didn't have fixed time but can do anytime with their WFH mindset.

Startups

Startups are companies in their first stage which are created by an entrepreneur who believes in having some solution for problems or developing a product or providing a service that believes to have demand.

Silicon Valley is known for startups and top companies like Apple, Google, HP, Intel, Adobe, eBay, and many others companies have already built their headquarters there.

Entrepreneurship

An entrepreneur is a person who brings new ideas which is the solution to a problem and takes the risk to provide a service or product to market. Entrepreneurs have an important role in the economy and bring new businesses or startups, taking risks to bring new products or services to market and getting rewards in fame with profit and new business opportunities.

How to take Steps as a Freelancer?

As a Pakistani freelancer, there are several steps you can take to succeed in the market:
