Illustration in website
You would have been thinking what the hell is illustration? That is why I'm here to enlighten you on illustration and also give you some links to widely used illustrations on websites. Fear no more!

In a nutshell, illustration is a visualization made by an artist. It is a drawing (or painting, collage, engraving, photo, etc.) that explains something. The illustration doesn't have to be drawn—a photo in an encyclopedia is also an illustration because it explains what is written. We have several types of Illustration Today! I will be walking you through Editorial Illustration.

Editorial Illustration?
An editorial illustration is an illustration created to better express an idea from the text, usually used in a book, magazine, newspaper, or web resource. This type of illustration can't live without the text.

Uses of Illustrations:
Illustration creates visual triggers that quickly transfer the necessary message. The vast majority of people perceive images faster than words. That's neither good nor bad, it's just a fact that designers can use to increase the visual performance of web or mobile layouts. You can download illustrations either in svg or png format. Unlike JPEG images that slowdown your website runtime, illustrations are lighter and is very good for your website.
