It all starts with taking that first step
"The hardest part is getting started, but once you do, everything else falls into place."
How often it happens to us that we spend our entire day just thinking about doing certain tasks that we know are important and we need to do but end up making no progress on them and then later at night think that from tomorrow we will surely complete it, but eventually, we end up repeating the same routine the next day and then due to this we feel frustrated and demotivated. So what could be the reason for this ever wondered?
Reasons humans avoid tasks
We, humans, can get distracted for a variety of reasons, some of the most common including:
Technology: With the constant bombardment of notifications, messages, and social media, it's easy to get distracted and lose focus on important tasks.
Physical environment: A noisy or cluttered environment can be a source of distraction, making it difficult to concentrate on important tasks.
Boredom: If a task is not engaging or interesting, people may get distracted easily and start looking for something more stimulating to do.
Emotions: Negative emotions such as stress, anxiety, or depression can make it difficult to focus and can lead to distractions.
Lack of sleep: Fatigue and lack of sleep can make it hard to focus and increase the likelihood of getting distracted.
Multitasking: Trying to do too many things at once can lead to distractions and make it difficult to complete any one task.
Social media: With the rise of social media, people are more likely to get distracted by the constant updates, notifications and messages on their smartphones.
Social factors: Being around other people who are easily distracted can make it harder to stay focused on important tasks.
It's worth noting that these reasons can be interrelated and can vary from person to person. Understanding the reasons for distraction can help in developing strategies to minimize distraction and improve focus.
Now as we know some of the most common reasons for our distractions we need to figure out some strategies and follow them to make the most out of the time we have from our waking up in the morning to going back to bed.
Start and End the day with a positive mindset
Starting and ending your day in a structured and intentional way can help set the tone for the rest of the day and help you achieve your goals. Here are some suggestions for how to start and end your day:
Start the day with a morning routine: A morning routine can help to set the tone for the day and get your mind and body in the right state for the tasks ahead. It could include activities such as exercise, meditation, journaling, or planning your day.
Make your bed: A simple task that can set the tone for the day and give you a sense of accomplishment.
Review your goals: Take a moment to review your goals for the day and make a plan for how to achieve them.
Prioritize your tasks: Make a list of the most important tasks for the day and prioritize them to ensure you are focusing on the most important things.
Have a healthy breakfast: Eating a healthy breakfast can help to boost your energy levels and improve your focus for the day ahead.
At the end of the day:
Reflect on the day: Take a moment to reflect on the day, what went well, what didn't go well and what you can learn from it.
Review your progress: Check off the tasks you've completed, and plan for the remaining tasks that need to be done the next day.
Plan for tomorrow: Make a plan for the next day and prioritize your tasks.

The Pomodoro Technique
Sometimes the hardest part is getting started. Just begin, even if you don't know what you're doing or it's not perfect. The act of starting will help overcome procrastination.
Before following this technique make sure that you already have planned the tasks that you need to do the night before, this helps us to take action rather than wasting our time thinking about what to do today.
The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s. The technique uses a timer to break down work into intervals, traditionally 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks. The idea behind this method is that by breaking work into shorter intervals, it can help to increase productivity and focus while also preventing burnout.
The technique is typically implemented as follows:
Choose a task to be accomplished
Set the Pomodoro timer (traditionally to 25 minutes)
Work on the task until the timer rings
Take a short break (5 minutes)
Every four "pomodoros" take a longer break (15–30 minutes)
After the fourth pomodoro, reset the count.
By using this technique, it helps to keep a constant focus on the task at hand, and also helps to avoid procrastination.
It's important to mention that the Pomodoro Technique is flexible and you can adjust the time intervals to suit your own needs. You can use a timer app, or a kitchen timer, or a simple watch to track the time.
Another benefit of the Pomodoro Technique is that it helps you prioritize your work. By breaking your tasks into smaller, manageable chunks, you can focus on the most important tasks first and ensure that you're making progress towards your goals.
One common mistake that people make is to focus on low-priority tasks first, such as checking email or browsing social media. By using the Pomodoro Technique, you can avoid this mistake by scheduling your tasks in order of priority and then working on them one at a time. This will help you to be more productive and efficient with your time.
The Pomodoro Technique can also help you to avoid burnout. When you work for extended periods without taking breaks, you can become mentally and physically exhausted, which can lead to decreased productivity and increased stress. By taking regular breaks, you can give your brain and body a chance to rest and recharge, which can help you to maintain your focus and energy levels throughout the day.
In addition to the basic Pomodoro Technique, there are many variations and adaptations that you can use to tailor the technique to your specific needs. For example, you might choose to work in longer or shorter intervals, or you might use different activities during your breaks, such as meditation or exercise.
In conclusion, the Pomodoro Technique is a simple but effective method for increasing productivity and managing your time more effectively. By breaking your work into smaller, manageable chunks and taking regular breaks, you can stay focused, energized, and on track towards your goals. So why not give it a try and see how it can improve your work habits?
