Connection between Open Source and Community

Before moving forward to the actual point let's discuss about what is Open Source?

Free Software Foundation is an organization which aware us about the open source free software. It basically focuses on the Software freedom among the user base. There are many Open Source software are there which is regularly used by us in daily basis, but most of us unaware of this.

Few Open Source Famous Software

  • Linux & it's distribution (OS)

  • VLC media player

  • Android

  • Mozila Firefox

  • Android

But wait? Why I'm talking about this?

This Open Source softwares are maintained by people around the world, there are much more benifficient to involve in the open source community rather than contribute to the own project and keep it private. Open Source Softwares are actually a part of the tech community that is maintained by them and they gather people into them, encourage us to involve into the project and contribute to it as much as possible. Fo every software development field we always face bugs and we find the particular amount of the code whole over the internet, and we get some valid and actually working code piece in the community-driven site, the best example is Stack Overflow, where people around the world can share their code to others and can help others to get rid of the problem. Like this GitHub is also there which is a Platform for controlling of software, where people can upload their codebase, Project and keep their codebase open, such that people across the globe can see them and contribute to them, this way the project gets more popular and also used by many people, likewise Linux, Android, VLC media player, etc. are some famous open source project where anyone can find the codebase and can understand the actual engineering by reviewing the codebase and be involved into the Community. In the developer community, we prefer slack channels and discord servers for making connections with others.
