Product update: Snippets of what we've been working on πŸŽ‰

We have some exciting updates to share from the last two months. The team has been hard at work, with some things we can't share just yet, but stay tuned for updates soon. We going to make 2023 a big year!

Here is an update on some of Hashnode's latest, and greatest improvements from February, and March 2023. Let's get started!

Rix β€” the AI chatbot for developers

We've just unveiled Rix, the ultimate AI Chatbot for developers. It's been trained on documentation for several popular open-source developer libraries and frameworks, so you can quickly learn about working with them by asking questions.

Some of its amazing features include:

Knowledge of OSS docs

ChatGPT's knowledge is limited till 2021, but OSS documents are continuously evolving. So, we decided to index projects automatically and provide a learning platform that provides learners with the most accurate and up-to-date information along with sources. Rix has already been trained on Next.js, React Native, Tailwind CSS, and more.

Run and share code snippets right within Rix

Rix's integration with CodeSandbox allows developers to run and execute generated code snippets directly within the chatbot. Currently, this feature is available for Next.js, React, JavaScript, and Vue.js.

Always on, no matter what

Rix is always available, 24x7 β€” even when ChatGPT is down. This means that developers can access it at any time, from anywhere in the world, and get the help they need. This is a significant advantage for developers who work on projects around the clock.

Editor AI, designed for writers

We recently launched a set of AI features to make your writing experience better, faster, and hassle-free!

Note: These AI features are currently in limited preview and invite-only, meaning there is a chance you won’t yet have this functionality on your blog. Stay tuned for updates on this very soon!

Start writing a new article or go back to a draft, and you’ll notice an AI assistance bot in the bottom right corner.

Use it to:

  • Rewrite your opening paragraph and make it SEO-friendly

  • Generate a code block to add to your article

  • Suggest compelling or SEO-friendly titles

  • Come up with a conclusion for your post

  • Summarize your article

  • And much more!

Details summary block

You can now add a details block to your article via our editor. It’s also known elsewhere as a toggle block, and it lets you add content into a collapsible section β€” great for keeping your posts neat and tidy.

Your section can have a short bit of text summarizing what the content is about. Clicking or tapping the arrow alongside it will reveal the content within this section; clicking it again will hide the content. To add a details block, simply hit /d as the panel opens, and choose Details.
