We had two more quiet weeks in the web industry. In browser news, we have Vivaldi 6.0 and Safari Technology Preview 168. On the release radar, we encounter Node v20, Obsidian 8.0, TypeScript 5.1 Beta, Vite 4.3, and more. Last, but not least, the Front End Resources repository grows with a handful of assets, generators, and other utilities.

πŸ’» Browser news

Vivaldi

Vivaldi users, rejoice! Version 6.0 is out for desktop and Android users and the topic of this update is customizability. Themes are now enhanced with custom icons, while workspaces make it easy to organize your tabs and tools exactly how you like.

Mobile users receive their share of customization options. Video and audio can play in the background tabs, or you can disable autoplay for all websites.

WebKit

We switch the ecosystem and talk about macOS and iOS users and the release of Safari Technology Preview 168. The release notes contain a long list of issues that have been fixed, along with a handful of new features.
