Lassitude Beguiled Us!

This week's report will be brief, straight to the point and void of emotions. You can already tell how the week went from the headline!

As usual, we started this week on a note of lovey-dovey. Our Monday meeting started routinely with a review of last week's task. Painfully, I discovered that only a few (if any) of the team members took the time to watch the videos from the internship on content creation, as discussed in our last meeting. By and large, we moved on with our meeting, discussing how the week three task would be met. It was agreed that everyone come up with articles and Canva designs.

We were faced with a challenge. Most team members (except the ATL) confessed they had no experience with Canva. I advised them to consult YouTube for tutorials on navigating as there is no technicality in using Canva.

It was expected that, at least by Wednesday, I would start seeing uploads and articles, but alas, the silence in the group was deafening! I wondered what was wrong, and the team leads decided to start reaching out to each team member. Everyone had one excuse or the other, but every reason had a common denominator - ENGAGEMENT!

Everyone claimed to be laden with one responsibility or the other. Well, Friday morning crept upon us seethingly and met us beguiled by lassitude! We had nothing on our blog. Our content calendar had yet to be implemented. This time around, the excuse was the inability to design. I had to squeeze out time from my busy schedule to record a short tutorial on how to use Canva.

Despite a faulty device, Bello was the most active member this week. I don’t know how he did it, but he did it. He turned in his task earlier than everyone, helped in follow-up, and gave words of encouragement both in the group and in people's DMs.

I promised to keep it short, and I will. Let me omit the re-design of graphics, reformatting and rewriting of articles. Well, my ranting needs to end here because, it is what it is. I guess everyone just had a rough week. After our weekly review with our tutor, we were asked to rework our blog, narrowing it down to two or three related niches.

I don't know if it's safe to say we are right back where we began!
