Rejected and Rolling: How to Laugh Off Job Rejections and Keep Your Spirits Up
Dealing with job rejections can be a real bummer, but I've learned to keep my spirits up by laughing it off. Here are some tips that have helped me:
1. Don't take it personally - I mean, maybe they just weren't ready for my wit and charm. It's their loss, right?
2. Use rejection as an opportunity to learn and grow - I try to see each rejection as a chance to perfect my job-hunting skills. Did I accidentally put my cat's name on my resume again? Oops! Time to fix that.
3. Remember that every rejection is a stepping stone towards success - or at least towards a more interesting story to tell at parties. "Oh, you think you've faced rejection? Let me tell you about the time I applied to be a professional llama groomer and got turned down..."
So, instead of feeling down about it, I just shake it off and keep on keeping on. I mean, who wants to work for a company that doesn't appreciate my unique sense of humor anyway? I'll find the perfect job someday, and when I do, they'll be lucky to have me.
