Embarking on an Extraordinary 9-Month Journey

A Journey of Dedication and Learning

In the last 9 months, I dedicated myself to learning software development after completing some courses at the university by enrolling in Microverse. Microverse is an online software development school where they teach you how to code and turn problems into solutions. I gained valuable technical, communication, and collaborative skills by coding and collaborating with developers worldwide using technologies and frameworks like Javascript, React, Redux, Html, CSS Ruby, and Ruby on Rails every day building amazing projects. Each line of code I've written has been infused with a burning passion to make a positive impact on the lives of people in our community.

You see, I've personally experienced the frustrations that come with searching for rental properties. My sister, who has been a tremendous inspiration on my coding journey, asked for my help in finding a new home. The process was riddled with obstacles and exorbitant fees. Fees for Opening a file with an agency. Fees for Visiting multiple properties. And even after finding a property(which most times you settled for what the agent has), there is still a fee to be paid. It was very stressful and time-consuming in moving from one place to another. It was a crazy cycle that needs improvement.

That's when the solution became clear - building a rental property web app that empowers renters to effortlessly discover their dream homes while enabling property owners to list their spaces without relying on costly agents.
