How I chose HashNode as my Tech blogging platform
Table of contents
Before starting anything, we should have a clear understanding of what we want to achieve at the end. I started by writing the goals that want I want to achieve by writing tech blogs.
Goals
Reach a tech audience.
Learn by sharing knowledge.
Improve writing skills.
Build a community.
Increase online presence.
I began with the end in my mind. These goals will help me define the target audience and choose the niche.
Now comes the most important part, which is choosing the best blogging platform. There are plenty of options available to choose from, like WordPress, Jekyll, Hugo, Medium, Ghost and many more. Here is the catch: I started the research with the best blogging platform. No doubt, all platforms are the best by the features they are offering. So I changed my approach from finding the best blogging platform to the features that I need in the blogging platform.
Features that I needed in the blogging platform
Monitor and analyze progress.
Engage with readers and the community.
Integrate with personal domain/Github pages.
This way, I narrow down the requirements and selected HashNode as the preferred tech blogging platform.
Conclusion
This is the conclusion of this blog post but the beginning of my tech blog journey. I have pointed out some key areas which I need to start learning/researching. My strategy would be, whatever I would be learning I will make the blog topic and publish it.
