Work from cafes: the power of focus work

I used to be that guy who used to skip coffee shops and used to save up that penny to get something else.

But one fine rainy day, I was stuck in the rain and saw a good coffee shop (Costa Coffee) near me. Rather than waiting too long for the rain to stop, I went to the shop and got my mind to convince myself to buy the premium coffee (INR 240) for one small cup latte!

Rather than wasting my time scrolling through Instagram, I opened up my laptop and started working on the pending work items and side projects one by one. And I must say, it's truly a different atmosphere to work from a cafe sipping that hot caffeine.

The ambiance of the cafe makes you focus more on your work. It keeps you hooked to the work, the ultra focus mode that you can get!

People chattering (opacity: 0.2), the coffee making noise, the chill music and the smell of coffee, altogether make you glued to your work.

I know coffee shops are expensive, but I suggest you try it out at least once or twice every month - for starters.

You will be less distracted.

You will be able to do more.

You will be able to focus more.

And if you are not into coffee, order tea or any other beverage of your mood. The smell of caffeine itself do wonders, and that caffeinated energy in the air will stimulate you to work better.
