Lookup Reference Functions

Today, I went through Lookup and Reference functions with ExcelMaven. I covered the following areas:

Named Arrays

ROW/ROWS

COLUMN/COLUMNS

VLOOKUP and HLOOKUP

Named Arrays

This is exactly as it sounds, an array that is named. Using named arrays helps us simplify a lookup function if the array is to be used in multiple formulas. After selecting the array, you can either go to the formula tab and click on name manager to name it or edit it in the name box shown on the Excel worksheet.

ROW/ROWS

COLUMN/COLUMNS

VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP

The VLOOKUP and HLOOKUP functions were somewhat challenging, but I'm confident I have a good grasp of them.
