What is Remote Work/Jobs?
In simple words, a remote job is a type of work where you don't have to physically go to an office or a specific location to do your job. Instead, you can work from the comfort of your own home or any other area of your choice, as long as you have a computer and a reliable internet connection. As simple as that, but there are some benefits and downsides of remote work that we'll talk about later in this blog.
Types of Remote Jobs
Pure Remote work
Location Specific ( for example US Remote Only )
- The main reason behind this is that the recruiter wants a person who can travel within the US or work with them within the US time zone.
Hybrid Remote work
- It's not good and this means that you have to go 1 or 2 days in the office when they want.
The Benefits of Working Remotely!
You get hired based on your skills.
Discriminations that you face:
You are from BCA, Commerce background, or any other stream.
You don't have Computer Science Degree or whatever.
You are not from a tier-one college like IIT, right?
You don't have that much CGPA, etc...
- In Remote Work no one cares about these discriminations.
Pays quite a lot.
In terms of work-life balance and company culture.
No company in India(like FANG INDIA) comes even close to what remote work offers. Even senior engineers at Microsoft don't make as much as interns in remote work. That depends on an intern, in remote work if you are very good at what you do.
Remote work also has some average jobs like 18-20 LPA this is the base pay, not the CTC, so the 40 LPA CTC of Microsoft that's not at all what it means.
Work-Culture / Work-Life Balance
The third benefit includes work culture it's amazing when working remotely, you know great work-life balance.
Your commute time is stopped and most of the company has a great work-life balance.
You know unlimited paid holidays. Four days work culture, you spent more time with your family, you can work at your own pace and things like that.
It is inclusive of all monthly components such as basic pay, reimbursements, various allowances, etc.
The Downside of Remote Work
The only downside of working remotely is that you miss the in-person interaction of people right? But only those will understand this who worked in an office ambience, because there those people make professional networking. And in the office, they are in a separate specific zone and they enjoy working in that zone. Because you know that you have to go office at the time and work hard at that time in office, and there your level of communication increases to a higher level. Let's say you work in an office you meet someone in the hallway you exchange your idea or whatever, and that's very nice.
The other downside of remote work is that some people are doing double jobs day and night so there are the cons of a specific organization.
Do you need to pay extra taxes while Working Remotely?
The clear-cut answer is a big NO, When you get the payment for your remote work from outside India you don't need to pay any extra tax, you have to only pay tax according to the Income Tax Slabs of India/any other country. So it's not rocket science over there, that I'm working remotely so I need to pay GST or anything extra no you not.
You have to take the GST number when your salary increases to a certain limit but you don't need to pay any extra taxes because it's a Foreign remittance.
How you should find Remote Jobs
Here I'm sharing some websites where you can find remote jobs according to your skill set and go apply there!
Linkedin - so on LinkedIn, you can filter search remote jobs and see their requirements if you feel fit, apply there
-
- and there are more platforms to find remote jobs, the thing is that finding remote jobs is not difficult but upskill yourself with the requirement of any particular remote company to which you are going to apply.

The interview process for Remote Work is like any other tech interview:
