Hello!
Welcome to my first blog post! Well, it isn't really my first one ever, but it is my first blog post in this blog "Ux with Ray". I started this blog to talk about my journey of learning UX design. Just like they always say "You learn better by explaining to others".
I started learning about UX design more than a year ago but it was on and off because I had other work to do.
The reason I started learning about UX design, well I wanted to shift careers, I know it is a classic reason. I know it is so competitive and hard to find jobs especially nowadays but I do believe that everyone has something to add and everyone will find the right job eventually, just never give up. I am telling this to myself as well, cause I did give up for a few months on finding a UX design job before but now I am determined to learn UX design the right way for me without worrying about finding a job and the job will come eventually cause we only need just one job right?
Last year I started learning UX design by enrolling in the Google UX design certificate program on Coursera. Currently, I am on the seventh course in the certificate, the last course. The first six courses were really fun and challenging and I learned a lot. I published my design portfolio here.
I am also taking an Intro to Psychology class on Udacity. This course is helping me understand human behavior and that will help me integrate psychology into the design process. Since UX design is an intersection between technology and psychology, it just makes sense to take it. This course is so good. It has tons of useful information and I am enjoying it. It is a free course available on Udacity, you can find it here.
I really hope this blog will be useful to anyone interested in learning about UX design as I will be sharing my experiences, opinions and useful resources.
Thanks for taking the time to read my first blog post and I am so excited to be sharing more with you in the future.
