The wonderful memories of my one month anniversary at TiideLab still lives rent-free in my head.

Do pardon my manners…

Welcome dear reader! If this is your first time here, grab that chair by your right and that popcorn on the table as I take you on a journey of how I embarked on a transformative adventure in the realm of technology with TiideLab!

The Cohort 5 selection process kicked off in the heart of June, as handpicked candidates geared up to conquer the coding test challenge. Those who emerged victorious from this trial then embarked on the Physical interview process, advancing one step closer to their dreams. And on one memorable, calm evening, I vividly recall the electric joy that surged through me upon receiving the thrilling news - “Congratulations, you have been selected -

Weeks following the selection process, the program set sail on the 27th of July, 2023, marked by a momentous Onboarding ceremony.

Esteemed figures graced the occasion, including Mr Kadiri Salami, our visionary Founder, who kindled our spirits with a gush of inspirational words, catapulting us onto this transformative voyage. The roadmap for our forthcoming six-month expedition was also unveiled.

Our Guest Leader’s series kicked off the following week, with our first guest, Mr. Theophilus Idakwoji. He talked about important things to remember when you start as a software engineer, shared his own experiences, and gave us tips on dealing with imposter syndrome.

A couple of weeks into the cohort, we found ourselves organized into six teams, fostering a dynamic environment for idea exchange and daily peer learning sessions. My team members chose me to take on the role of Team Lead of the vibrant talents known as Team Geekforce, comprised of an inspiring blend of diverse talents and skill sets.

Additionally, I had the privilege of being paired with an exceptional coding partner, Salihu Gidado, whose unwavering dedication to our one-on-one sessions consistently propelled me forward.

Ladies and Gentlemen! Let the drums roll!

And now, for the most interesting class of all classes – our in-person gathering! The Professional Development meetup was an absolute delight, granting me the chance to bridge the gap between digital interactions and genuine face-to-face connections with my fellow members, whom I had previously only encountered in the virtual realm.

On one of the physical meetups, I was privileged to meet and discuss with Mr Salami during the “A day with our Founder” series. During that time, he shared few tips on how he personally battled imposter syndrome. Those keynotes would stick with me for a very long time!

As I reflect on my journey through the momentous first month of TiideLab Cohort 5, my heart brims with gratitude to our visionary facilitator, Mr Shamsudeen Aderoju and our sponsors: ITF and **NECA.**These transformative weeks have shaped not only my technical finesse but also nurtured the growth of my soft skills! Thank you TiideLab!M
