My first group project or not?

The highlight of this week has been to team up to code...Finally, some help or maybe not. I wasn't settled enough to pick a team member so I was automatically teamed up with someone. The next step was to reach out! Unfortunately, I didn't get any response despite my attempts. I was really looking forward to this learning opportunity. In case you are reading this and you are currently in the ALX software engineering program, you would have groups known as buddy groups, There would also be a lot of colleagues to learn from on Slack and other platforms but the best is finding someone you are familiar with or would become familiar with to join you throughout the program.

In the meantime, I decided to absorb all the materials on "Teaming up" in Software engineering. In the long run, seamlessly participating in group projects would be useful. I can't wait for another group project opportunity to apply my team skills.

I am still learning C language, and so far the concepts I fully grasp are; The basics of code in C, input/outputs and redirections. I want to get a deeper understanding of Loops & conditions, then the dreaded "Pointers". I would give my usual "whimsical" explanation once I am satisfied with digging down these rabbit holes. Just call me a rabbit at this point because I can't leave these concepts halfway in this fast-paced SE course. Ducks might be preferred in the dev community though.😂 Forgive my weird humour. If I had one of those ducks though...I would have flung them across the room countless times by now.

To help me speed up my learning, I have been looking for ways to speed up my learning process through gamification. https://www.codingame.com/ coding games is a good one I found for now. If you have alternatives you can tell me in the comments. I want a fun way to test my understanding of C language. The hallmarks for me would be when I can solve algorithm problems in C language. What I saw on Leetcode scared me.
