Day 20 ... pong has pinged

So I've finished the "adding the assets" on the pong tutorial, and overall very understandable, I did have a problem with some of the assets which gave me a 'crc' error which left me scratching my head for a bit as the solutions I found didn't really offer a solution, but it was hinted that it could have to do with the png files themselves. The solution was to open them in Gimp (GIMP - GNU Image Manipulation Program) and do nothing except export the images back into the assets folder overwriting the original ones. Am still having issues with not understanding certain things, but I am building muscle memory, and I am getting used to the layout of the main functions. I will be researching how to add sound at some point, maybe speeding up the ball as time progresses and whatever else comes to mind.

As I had an hour left of study time I've decided to start:

DevJeeper's, How To Make A PLATFORMER GAME In 2021! - The Map (Love2D) 1/6 - YouTube and hopefully it will go a bit better than the previous one I attempted a couple of days ago. Motivation does wane a bit, as am doing this later and later. But am doing it which is a huge step for the guy who usually flees at the first hurdle (Yes I know I switch tutorials when that happens but I will get back to the ones I've abandoned).

The hour flew by and I've come to the program Tiled | Flexible level editor (mapeditor.org) once again, and I think this is where I went wrong with the platformer I attempted last time so am going to see if I can find some tutorials on just this program so I don't mess up again, and with that study time has been cut short and I will continue tomorrow.
