My journey in the FMVA programme

My interest in finance has been stoked ever since I read Robert Kiyosaki's "Rich Dad, Poor Dad." Following my exposure to the forex market, I learned technical analysis on market charts, from which I published my ideas on TradingView.
After finishing my Google Analytics Professional course and putting in consistent practice as a data analyst, I've been wanting to perform financial data analysis. When I heard about ALX, I didn't let the ALX FA programme pass me by.
I applied to the programme and got selected for the first cohort. I took on this mantle to study finance on my own. I started with some introductory courses on Coursera and videos on YouTube. These gave me the fundamentals of financial statements and other concepts in finance I needed to know as a beginner. I then went to my CFI dashboard to begin the programme, and follow the procedure, and with consistent practice, I was able to finish the programme and pass the final exam.
Without mentioning the wonderful friends I made in other African countries, the experience would be incomplete. They also contributed to the success of this journey by challenging ourselves and helping each other.
As a certified financial modeller and valuation analyst, I will be working on some projects to put into practice what I learned from the program and build my experience in the work market. I will be sharing my work here as well.
