Interview Opportunity through hackathon

I went in solo for a hackathon in the field of AI for which I have no experience & I landed an interview opportunity for my submission.

Get to know how everything unfolded like how I got to know about the hackathon, what I did & every minute detail, including the dataset, the steps & my submission.

How I got to know about the hackathon

To be honest, it was a mail out of nowhere. I might have done some registration which I couldn't recall. Even back then when I got the mail I was like - Why did I get a mail like this? That too from this sender. Perhaps something from the past, something I just happened to check out but didn't spend much time towards; else I would remember (I'm pretty good at recollecting).

Anyway, I decided not to attend it as my efforts were towards other initiatives that I had started back then (you can check out my brag journal for the opening half of 2023). As I went to bed I thought to myself - I say I want to work in AI, I say I have learned AI but haven't been able to work on it, I say I want to have a higher salary. This is a chance for each of them & I need to work towards the goal (plus, they were offering laptops as prizes, I didn't have a personal one back then & I still can't afford one). Considering all of this I got out of bed & registered.

You can see that the time of this mail is pretty late. This is past my bedtime.

How I addressed the problem

You can check out the hackathon page for details such as the timeline, participant count, prizes, & much more.

Check out invoice-data-extraction for further details.

Cheers!
