2. Reserved Instances

  • Long Term Commitment

  • Prior Payment(Full, Partial) 1 or 3 Years

  • 75% discount on hourly price

  • Predictable usage

3. Spot Instances

  • Bidding

  • Auctioning

  • Huge Capacity for a cheaper price

  • Application with start and end times

    4. Dedicated Instances

  • If any customer needs a diedcated physical machine Licensed software Dedicated host is much costlier than others

Note: AWS cloud minimum billing period is 1 hour

9 am 10 am ===> Used for 5 mins

11 am 12 pm ===> Used for 5 mins

AWS will consider this as 2 hours

EC2 instance states

  1. Launch

  2. Running (Bill)

  3. Stop (No Bill)

  4. Reboot

  5. Terminate (Killing)

t1 , t2, t3, t4g, al, c1, c3, c4

Note: AWS Account is Free for 1 year 750 Hours / Month Free

General Instances

  • For General Purpose

Memory Instance:

  • if you need more memory

CPU instances:

  • More CPU

Storage instances:

  • More storage

GPU Instances:

  • Graphics, Havey Machines

general instances

  • t2.nano = 0.5GB RAM

  • t2.micro = 1 GB RAM

  • t2.small = 2 GB RAM

  • t2.medium = 4 GB RAM

  • t2.large = 8 GB RAM

  • t2.xlarge = 16 GB RAM
