Redefining Community Engagement with Huddle01

The concepts of ‘privacy’ and ‘decentralization’ attracted mass attention since the bull run of 2020. It led to people reinventing all industries and aspects of the modern world free from centralized giants. For example, DeFi is redefining banking, NFTs are redefining the creator economy, and web3 social is challenging the data-hungry nature of social apps. Slowly, almost every industry is moving towards a democratized approach to building products, but the way we engage with our community (which is such an important aspect of any web3 project) in real-time is still dependent on web2 tools like Zoom and GMeet.

These tools were not built considering the needs of the web3 audience. The concept of pseudonymity, wallet login, token-gating, or even airdrops is mostly foreign to most of them. And that is where Huddle01 steps in with its video meet + audio spaces platform packed with web3 primitives.

Huddle01: web3 primitive video meets + audio spaces

Huddle01 is a video meeting and audio spaces platform enabling secure online communication. While anybody can use Huddle01 for all of their virtual meetings, the platform has found a special use case with web3 communities. Many of them use Huddle01 on a daily basis to interact with their community to discuss insights, and industry trends, host masterclasses, town halls and much more.

Here are some reasons why web3 communities love Huddle01:

  1. Token-gating: By using Huddle01, communities can gate their conversations by only allowing people holding certain NFTs, ERC20 tokens, POAPs or Social Graphs to enter a conversation. This keeps unwanted meeting participants from disturbing the conversation and adds exclusivity to your event.

  2. Wallet Log-in: To be able to join any conversation on a web2 meeting platform, users need to sign in with their Google Account. This puts their personal information at risk if they sign up on a suspicious platform. To avoid this, we support wallet log-ins like Phantom, WalletConnect, Suku and more, which also is only mandatory for hosts to unlock exciting features like livestreaming to X, recording etc. Participants can choose to join a conversation with no log-in as well until and unless the event is token-gated.

  3. Bring your own web3 identity: Users can sign in to a meeting via their wallet and unlock various digital identities or DIDs including Cyberconnect, Unstoppable and Lens. The web3 ecosystem believes in pseudo-identities and to respect that we allow people to tune in to any conversation with their DIDs as display names and NFTs as PFPs.

  4. Airdrops: We all know web3 loves airdrops and keeping in mind this exact use case, we allow hosts to airdrop tokens, POAPs and NFTs, directly to the meeting participant’s wallet address based on their activity, post the event.

  5. Recording & Livestreaming: Huddle01 allows you to record all your sessions and instantly download them on your own device to share later. The platform also provides live streaming options to X(formerly Twitter), YouTube and Twitch to help you distribute your content better without the use of any 3rd party app or custom settings. Multistreaming coming soon 👀

  6. Group Chat & Private DMs: As a host for a workshop you can choose to enable or disable the group chat where attendees can drop their suggestions or questions, and engage with other participants. They can also send Private DMs to a particular attendee or host which too you can enable or disable for a streamlined session.

  7. Custom Branding: On request, Huddle01 can also provide you with a custom subdomain - <your community's name>.huddle01.com, that gives you the ability to host your community events in personalized video or audio rooms with a custom logo and background as per your brand's visual identity.

Huddle01 for Virtual Masterclass & Demo Days

A virtual masterclass, which is like an extended version of a workshop, is a great way to engage and educate your community about what you're building and how they can leverage this tech for their own benefit. More than just lectures or presentations, masterclasses are more interactive, collaborative, and fun learning experiences that connect you with people who share your interests. Delivering a high-impact learning experience is a key metric of every masterclass and now you have a better tool to host your sessions, Huddle01.

Demo day on the other hand is a highly anticipated event where all your hard work for a hackathon comes to a conclusion. Finalists pitch their projects, get feedback from the judging panel and take home the winner titles and bounties. These kinds of events also require a platform like Huddle01 for a seamless, uninterrupted and engaging session.

Check out how key web3 communities like Shardeum, LearnWeb3DAO and Superteam leveraged the Huddle01 platform to host their community events ↘️

Shardeum: Solving the Blockchain Trilemma

With their mainnet going live in the next couple of months, it's crucial for Shardeum to regularly connect and engage with their community, to keep everyone updated and build the hype.

They recently hosted a 3 hours long masterclass on getting started with Solidity by Sandipan Kundu, DevRel Engineer at Shardeum and saw an attendance of 150 community members.

LearnWeb3DAO - Empowering Developers for web3

LearnWeb3DAO focuses on educating and empowering developers interested in web3 technologies. With an active community base of 115K members, they recently hosted their demo day on Huddle01 and had 52 participants pitch their final projects, and declare the winners.

Superteam: Team of the super blockchain

Superteam is a community of hundreds of highly active web3 enthusiasts brought together by their love for the Solana blockchain. They are pretty active with their community engagements and frequently connect virtually to discuss updates, share ideas and learn. For one such masterclass, they chose Huddle01 and hosted almost 200 attendees.
