An Overview

This release note contains the latest features and improvements in Flutterflow—a low-code tool for building mobile and web applications.

Latest Features

  1. Custom API Authentication: Users are no longer limited to using only Firebase as their backend. Now, they can create applications that integrate with custom backends or any backend.

  2. New Carousel widget+Action: The new carousel widget comes with actions like Next, First, Jump to, etc. Before the introduction of this widget, carousels were created manually by putting a list view widget inside a container and adjusting the list view to display vertically.

  3. JSON to Data type feature: The new JSON to data type feature allows you to easily create a Data type that matches your API response structure and convert the JSON returned by the API to Data type.

Some Improvements

  1. The API library is now searchable.

  2. Projects can be renamed from the projects dashboard.

  3. There’s a new option to paste before or after in the right-click menu.

  4. A new advanced IOS setting where users can disable iPad support.

  5. Drawer width can now be set dynamically.

  6. A conditional builder has been added as a wrap widget option.

  7. Widget tree improvement: You can now use your keyboard to quickly navigate the widget tree.
