What I'm learning today

Today I'm working on learning the Manage Access to Azure resources section of the Az-104 course. I will be testing out a different method of learning based on this video by YouTuber named Mike in the Cloud.

The difference between what he does and what I normally do is he seems to only use the study documentation and not any videos which I have been using. He also looks to be using a simple and efficient method for finding the right material to learn:

  1. Copying a section from the study guide

  2. Pasting the exact words into Google

  3. Finding the corresponding Microsoft Learn article

  4. Then studying that specific article

This may seem like an obvious thing to do but is not something I have been doing or have seen others do. Most of my previous studying was done from a Udemy video that I would follow along in the portal then do another lab from Microsoft then try the practice questions, from a Tutorial Dojo or Whiz labs. This has been giving me mixed results when taking the practice tests because it seems the practice tests have been more specific than the labs.

After today I will see if there is any improvement and if so use this strategy going forward.
