Day 1: Setting Sail into the AWS Cloud

Introduction:
Welcome to Day 1 of our AWS (Amazon Web Services) series or challenge! Whether you are a beginner eager to explore the world of cloud computing or an experienced professional looking to enhance your AWS skills, this series is designed to provide you with a comprehensive and hands-on journey through various AWS services and concepts. Today, let's embark on an exciting journey as we lay the foundation by exploring the basics of cloud computing, understanding different types of clouds, and discovering why AWS stands out as a leading cloud service provider.
What is Cloud Computing?
Cloud Computing is a general term for the delivery of hosted computing services and IT resources over the Internet with pay-as-you-go pricing.
Example: DropBox, Gmail
Types of Cloud:
There are mainly three types of clouds:
Public Cloud
Private Cloud
Hybrid Cloud
Public Cloud:
The public cloud is defined as computing services offered by third-party providers over the public internet making them available to anyone who wants to use or purchase them.
Private Cloud:
In the Private Cloud resources are used by only a single organization, which provides more control and customization but requires more maintenance.
Hybrid Cloud:
In the hybrid cloud, there is a combination of both public and private clouds, allowing data and applications to be shared between them.
Why AWS?
Everyone has a question, why aws are there many cloud providers!! right
Let's talk about this:
Global Infrastructure: AWS has data centers strategically located worldwide, providing low-latency access to its services globally.
Extensive Service Portfolio: AWS offers a vast array of services, including computing power, storage, databases, machine learning, analytics, and more.
Scalability and Flexibility: AWS allows you to scale your resources up or down based on demand, providing flexibility and cost-effectiveness.
