My tech experience in 2023.

Last year, I began html in March then stopped due to laziness. Then I began again in June, but I did not do much just like the first time, so I left again.

Then I picked it up once again in July. This time, I applied for an "AlX" internship program. Not knowing whether I wanted to do it or not, considering my past few personal setback which sort of built a self rejection mindset which makes me want to shy away from things easily.

I then got the Internship and it was the start of what I'd call an adventure. I began hearing things I have not been doing, things I did not know was possible to be achieved with my personal computer.

But there comes a time in life where certain things are tested, even the good ones. It was the period of my 1st year second semester examinations in the University and then, the "AlX" project was in the scene. I had to make a hard decision which saw me drop project "AlX" and finish my exams.

Having finished my exams and returning to the project, I saw my score had dipped so bad due to my inactivity towards it and so once again, I gave up on it.

For two weeks straight, I did nothing "tech related", a period of low self drive and high demotivation. Then one day, my friend visited me we talked to the extent or me telling him about my story these few months. "you are mentally lazy, you have rested enough and you now need to go back to work" he told me. Coupled with a few other things, I got geared up back on track, I downloaded an online learning app "sololearn" and started Hypertext mark up language(HTML)again. I learnt a lot of things, i learnt the difference between "in-line element and block element", learnt about 50 HTML tags and their uses, learnt the between "id" and "div" and finally learnt how to comment among many other things. I did the project I was given which was making a webpage with all the HTML attributes I have learnt and known, which I did and is still available in my "Gift Hub"for anyone who would care to see, and then I got my certificate.๐ŸŽŠ

I then moved on to"CSS"which stands for cascading style sheets. I was mentally charged-up for this and in a week, I had learnt the basics which all included 'The syntax(";"), selectors, styling tables, styling forms, how to position, animations, specificity, and how to comment in CSS'.

I also did complete my project with this course and got my certificate.

Later on in the year, our Nigeria Association of Computing Students (NACOS) president Gloria Ifeoma Madubueze created a community for tech newbies of which I am a part of. She gave us some projects within the rims of HTML and CSS which my team and I accomplished.

As this tech community went on, I was introduced and started being taught java in school. I learnt a lot, 'the syntax ';', line of command, how to declare a variable, data type, OOP'. I was able to make two significant projects, "A grade point calculator and normal arithmetic calculator".

I'd like to consider the year, 2023 as my foundation year. And so this year, I am taking more projects on front-end mentor, and an already started course on JavaScript.

Let's see how this year goes.......
