TLDR: A neat resume builder website which offloads the resume page formatting and styling so that you can focus on the most important thing in resume: content which stands out.

I have been trying to update my resume for a while. It is a daunting task and you can see why. I opened MS word, pondered over good couple of minutes on how to word my professional journey. I opened a text editor then, and created couple of paragraphs to copy paste them into my word doc and hoping to magically transform them into a structured action driven bullet points. That did not happen, of course.

So, I decided to google, even used our new friend chatGPT and stumbled upon a resume builder website which promised to let me create an impactful and professional looking resume with all bells and whistles for, yes, free.

https://cultivatedculture.com/resume-builder

The website offers a bunch of (almost) free tools for helping professionals find their next dream job by helping to create, scan resumes, check cover letters, scan LinkedIn headliners and more. The tools are "free to use until you run out of the free token credits". A new user is offered 10 free token credits which they can use on any of the free tools. A resume builder takes up to 7 tokens. The tokens are refreshed every 30 days, so if you end up exhausting your token credits you need to wait a month to have them renewed. In all, i find it a good deal as you get a bunch load of resume templates for styling your resume. Moreover, they provide with a variety of tips and tricks for helping you create the content and structure your resume.

You can of course go with the paid subscription plan to have unlimited token credits. The plan starts from $4 weekly to $10 monthly and more.

Apart from such tools, the website also offers guides and courses for interview preparation, LinkedIn page refinement etc. for job seekers and entrepreneurs. More win there.
