Tableau Saturday II 3rd Feb 2024
Our sole mission is to help people see and understand data .
— Tableau©️ 2003
I would like to thank those who made it to the Tableau©️ Saturday Colab Kaduna in person event, especially our host Sanusi Ismaila, and Peter Okwukogwu aka Pablo, as he took us on the introduction to Tableau which was first held on the 27th of January, now we are on these second class of Tableau, on the 3rd of February 2024.
We had done Tableau© 101 in the first class, in this class, we went through what you need to know on learning tableau.
He went on to introduce to the book which he would be using to guide the study for tableau , Learning Tableau© by Joshua N. Milligan. From the forewords written in the book, Data has been called the new oil, also there is a famine of talents on Data that needs to be alleviated.
We went through steps on Tableau© 101, our first class showed us how people deployed data Visualizations globally.
For this session ( Meet II) We were put through the similarities and differences between Tableau© and Python© for image and data visualization and we also took a data set from Tableau website, that data set was a Superstore data set. The files which we used were the CSV and Xls format data set, we framed the data sets in Python and after framing the data set in Python we loaded (connected) the same data set on tableau.
The data set on Tableau© public certainly is much more visually appealing, the data set on Tableau public can handle Excel files better, on Tableau the data set can be analyzed as sheets you can also show tables is required on the spot. The data set can be put out either in ascending or descending order on the spot. Tableau can also auto-generates columns and rows when it connects with the data from the loaded file.
I am Surely looking forward to our next at the session for Tableau Saturday.
