Burn out

The quest for self development and professional growth can sometimes be overwhelming and challenging. Personally I find myself struggling to push through burnout.

What's burnout?

Burnout is a state of physical, emotional and mental exhaustion often caused by prolonged exposure to high level of stress, excessive workload or unmanageable job demands.

Dealing with burnout while working and studying can be challenging, but I have learnt to prioritize self-care and find a balance.

Here are some tips that has helped me managed burnout:

1. Set Realistic Goals: Ensure your workload is manageable by setting achievable goals for both work and study. Avoid overcommitting.

2. Establish Boundaries: Create clear boundaries between work, study, and personal time. Avoid working or studying excessively, especially late into the night.

3. Time Management: Use effective time management techniques such as the Pomodoro technique or time blocking to stay productive and avoid burnout.

4. Take Breaks: Regular breaks are essential. Short breaks during work or study sessions can improve focus and prevent burnout.

5. Prioritize Self-Care: Make time for self-care activities like exercise, meditation, hobbies, or spending time with loved ones.

6. Sleep: Ensure you get enough quality sleep. Lack of sleep can contribute to burnout.

7. Seek Support: Talk to friends, family, or a counselor about your stress and feelings of burnout. Sometimes, sharing your concerns can provide relief.

8. Healthy Diet: Eating well-balanced meals can boost your energy levels and overall well-being.

9. Delegate and Say No: If possible, delegate tasks at work or prioritize tasks that are most important. Don't be afraid to say no to additional commitments when you're feeling overwhelmed.

10. Seek Professional Help: If burnout is severe and persistent, consider seeking help from a mental health professional.

I hope you find this tips helpful ☺.
