Weekly Dev Journal - Episode # 03
Hello & Welcome to the 3rd episode of WEEKLY DEV JOURNAL π
Hope you had a great week of learning & achieving Goals.
Let's start with this one.
Learnings:
Azure Storage:
These days, I am experimenting with azure & its different services.
Previously, I discovered ML Studio & Functions.
This week, I discovered azure blob storage & integrate it with my Next JS Project. It was good but its taking too much credits π€π
SaaS Project MVP:
Most of the time, I worked on MVP of my upcoming project.
Previous week, I started working on MVP & this week was the deadline to finish it. as usual, I completed it on last minute :-) but able to submit the MVP within deadline.
I was thinking the next steps to improve necessary things so that I can launch the product within this month.
For this, I was thinking of choosing beta testers where I need a specific number of users that will test out my product. That users will install the product on their systems, use that product & will give their valuable feedback that I will evaluate & make changes (if any) based on the feedback.
Managing Your Life:
Management is very crucial is this distracted world. Sometimes, you pick up the laptop to do work or learn something & ended up watching YouTube or Netflix.
& if you are someone with a job or a student, manage all things together is very big task to complete.
Beside studies, you have to daily (at-least) work on your skillset by making anything & learn something new to improve that skillset.
In conclusion, proper scheduling is very important.
I have read routine of some CEOs & one thing which is common in them is Management. They have a proper schedule of what they have to do each day for a whole week or month.
Its also scientifically prove that If you plan to do a task by setting proper time & date, you will likely to complete that task.
There are some tools where you can create your own routine & fill the calendar with tasks that you have to do in specific week.
One example is below:
What's the point of making this type of calendar? well, that's a separate & We will cover in some other article.
Of course, You can setup something like this easily with Google Calendar.
But what about other areas like learning, capturing your thoughts/ideas, projects etc?
There are some apps that let you do this like Notion.
But as far as I have used Notion, at a point, I think Notion become too complicated.
Like there are too many customization options, you stuck in loop of setting up the environment & waste time instead of using that time in doing actual task.
So, the app/software should be minimalist yet offer all kind of tools at one place to simplify user life.
Do let me know, if you are using any tool like this for managing you overall life e.g. your Second Brain Tool.
Psycho Ponderings:
When you see yourself doing something wrong and nobody's bothering to tell you anything anymore, that's not a good place to be at. You might not want to hear this, but your critics are often the ones telling you they still love and care about you, and want to help you improve.
It doesn't matter how valuable your offer or product is if no one knows about it.
The only viable long-term strategy for building an audience in an increasingly noisy world is to be so good they canβt ignore you.
The real divide is between those who get back on track quickly and those who let interruptions expand into more extended periods of inactivity.
Half the battle is fighting demons in your mind.
You have a right to your actions, but never to your action's fruits.
Book:
I finished reading "A Developer's Guide to Blogging"
This book was on my list & I finally picked it up and give it a read.
I wrote my notes while reading the book which you can read if you want ;-)
