Planner makes it easy for your team to create new plans, organize and assign tasks, share files, chat about what you're working on, and get updates on progress.

Currently there is no option in Planner to view My Tasks as a Kanban view.

After some R&D and as a work around, following steps below can achieve the desired result.

First step is to create a Microsoft Teams Group. This can be done by the end user or by the Microsoft 365 administrator based on the organizational policy set. Following to be considered while creating the Teams Group :

  • Create the group name as My Planner Tasks suffixed with the username e.g. My Planner Tasks - UserA.

  • Keep both Team Owner and Member as the UserA only.

  • Set the privacy as Private

  • Once the Team is created, edit the team and uncheck "Don't show team emailaddress in Outlook" (optional)

It may take sometime to provision this new Teams Group for use and appear in Planner App.

Next Step is to create the required Buckets and Tasks using the Planner by selecting the newly created Group. You are done, your Tasks can be viewed as Kanban Boards in Planner.

Happy Planning...
