For that sweet sweet KDE
Table of contents
Well, I am today old when I realised that some Linux distros are named after the desktop environment they are built on. For instance, Xubuntu, the "X" stands for xfce and for kubuntu the "K" is for KDE.
So I migrated from Pop os to Kubuntu about a night ago. And I have to say KDE is nice even though others might argue it is a copy of Windows 7 which is a half-baked statement. I am not here to have another thought unrolling about Windows VS Linux you've already had enough of that(I think). We ispent a whole decade making YouTube videos about Linux vs windows (sheesh).
If you are scratching your head wondering why someone would migrate from a gnome environment to a KDE then buckleup.
I DID'NT DO IT FOR KDE
I will be honest I love Gnome, it's pretty. So what happened? well, when I installed Pop Os it was super slow and every time I was using it my fan was spinning like crazy. I had a small fear that it'd fly away one day lol.
Another reason was that was that pop Os was that it would randomly freeze. Your brain quickly rushed to, why didn't you just update but I did and nothing changed so sorry Pop OS you had to Go.
Flew and Landed on KDE
So after Jumping off the Gnome plane, I went to the Late Night Linux server to ask for recommendations. I weighed each recommendation and chose Kubuntu why? because someone commented I quote " Try Kubuntu for that sweet sweet KDE". This comment had me howling. I know it's petty but that comment is funny.
So here I am writing my blog using KDE connect, I am typing all this on mobile. I like how my fan doesn't spin so I won't fly to Mars anytime soon.
Closing salutation
They say good writing has a closing salutation so here is one. Try Kubuntu. I know I haven't argued or tried to convince you to migrate to it but I think you trying it you will know this is for you. And that's a Salute. Have a great day!!!!!!
