ReactQuery : Managing Form Success State in React with useMutation - Resetting Success Flags for Subsequent Edits

We generally use the below for ReactQuery's useMutation hook const [mutate, {isSuccess, isLoading}) = useMutation(yourMutation)

Once submitting the form and displaying the success message, the isSucess flag is set to true though we reset the form to its initial state.

In order reset the isSuccess flag in ReactQuery mutations, we can use reset function provided by the mutation hook. Syntax: const [mutate, {isSuccess, isLoading, reset}) = useMutation(yourMutation)

You can then use reset function reset() as the last step on handling onSuccess event;

in order to do that we can use reset function provided by the mutation hook.
Syntax: const [mutate, {isSuccess, isLoading, reset}) = useMutation(yourMutation)

You can use reset as a function i.e. reset();

This function can be used on any react-query like onSuccess() so that form will be reset and the isSuccess value will be back to false.

Hope this helps!!

Happy Coding!
