Currently Listening As A Service, SunalRahal
Approximately 18 months ago, I was wandering around the internet when I stumbled upon a guy who was Pushing what he was listening to at his Github's Readme.
I am not able to recall the guy's name, but back then, he was monitoring the phone's music notifications and forwarding the music player's details, such as the song name and artist, to a self-hosted external server. He then glued it all together with GitHub actions which will update the readme based on the music's metadata it gets from the External Server.
Then, I tried Making one for myself but using Spotify's API. I miserably failed but in the end, I was able to get a current listening track from the API.
I somehow managed to deploy just as a serverless endpoint in Vercel(Nextjs For Frontend). Then Made a few snaps about what I was listening to on Spotify and never looked back to it For months and months to come.
Note: This is a draft i never completed writing as I am abandoned maintaining SunalRahal but it might still be live.
