"...to me it does not matter, as long as I can get a job soonest..."

I guess it’s time to ask the ultimate question;

  1. Why is TVET important?

  2. Can the society function with TVET?

My take - TVET is civilization’s tool to function as a community, it’s the applied knowledge, knowledge that comes from the other ‘Tower’ (Post: The Towers of Learning) and via TVET, that knowledge is being applied to benefit societies in many ways. I guess without TVET, most knowledge remains as abstract knowledge and not put into ‘purposeful action’.

Hence, TVET exists to fulfil multiple objectives, most important being- Workforce Preparation, Economic Development and Lifelong Learning

Stressing on Economic Development – assuming the nation’s economy is all that matters (I hope not) - then TVET is ever so critical in today's global economy for several reasons seen below in Maya’s table.

The historical evolution and ongoing relevance of TVET underscore its pivotal role in education, economic development, and societal progress. By aligning training programs with current and future labor market needs, TVET systems worldwide strive to foster skilled, adaptable workforces that can contribute to their nations' prosperity and competitiveness on the global stage - The Key word being ‘aligning’.

Strategy is of upmost importance, for without it TVET is just a tool without a unified purpose. Without a strategy TVET will be another confusing creation we added to our community.

Thank you for your time ❤️
