Yesterday I fell asleep before I wrote in my dev blog/journal. I was ti-red. But I didn't stick to my JavaScript plan anyway.

I mainly worked on my "Chemistry 2048" game (linked here, only playable on desktop) yesterday. I'm going to start making more sprites because I only originally did the first 10 sprites, just in case there was anything I had to change and I didn't want to have to redo all 118 if something needed to be changed. Good thing I did that because I do have to change the font size, it's too small, at least I think so. I also had my siblings play it to see what they thought of it. Good reviews so far! I also added some more UI to the main gameplay page + edited the main page. In between that, I was learning JavaScript but I got bored because I just need to learn the syntax, not the concepts. But the courses I started with had me learning what variables, functions, and classes are. Like I know what they are I just need to know how to make one in JavaScript...so I just went on W3Schools and am starting to reference "JavaScript & JQuery" by Jon Duckett. I bought all 3 of his web development books in a burst of motivation. I don't regret it but I definitely could have bought it one by one. I did learn about some new concepts, like promise and async? Never heard of that. But I'm going to start making some simple projects in JavaScript. Then make webpages that incorporate it. Soon I also want to learn Node.js.

Today I worked on my "Home Cafe" website (linked here). I spent the afternoon updating the CSS with what I've learned in the last couple of days. I think it's set up way better. I do think something about the UI looks homemade? Like... not professional, but I'm still learning UI/UX design. I'll change it in the future...maybe. I also have to make it more mobile-friendly, mainly the navigation bar (and now the images ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ). Next, I have to change the general setup of the web pages. I think I'm going to switch to PHP for the different food category web pages. But when I do that I'm probably going to have to change the website host when I add a database though, I don't think GitHub offers that. But I'll check. But that's the update, bye!
