The Inequities of Present Authority
We present these grievances against the antagonistic Plutocrats, categorizing their transgressions by the fundamental commandments our Planetary Ethos embody. Each example both broadly & specifically illustrates their treasons against their own Humanity and exploits for delusional gains therein.
The Arrogance of Power
The Antagonists display an arrogance that places them well above the law and beyond moral accountability. This pride manifests in their control over social media platforms, where dissenting voices are silenced to maintain their narrative. For instance, political discourse on platforms like Twitter and Facebook is manipulated to favor certain viewpoints, undermining democratic principles and eroding public trust
The Destruction of Potential
Driven by envy, these elites stifle emerging leaders and innovative ideas. This is seen in the monopolistic practices of tech giants who buy out or crush competition, such as Facebook’s acquisition of Instagram and WhatsApp, preventing new talent from flourishing . They envy potential threats and neutralize them to maintain dominance.
The Exploitation of Resources
Their insatiable greed leads to the exploitation of both natural and human resources. In the fast fashion industry, brands like H&M and Zara profit from exploiting workers in developing countries, driving environmental degradation and worsening global inequality . This greed prioritizes profit over people and planet.
The Perpetuation of Conflict
Wrathful tendencies perpetuate conflict to maintain power. The military-industrial complex thrives on prolonged wars, benefiting companies like Lockheed Martin. This drive for profit at the expense of peace fuels endless conflicts, causing widespread suffering and instability .
The Hoarding of Excess
Gluttony is evident in the excessive accumulation of wealth by billionaires, while millions suffer in poverty. Jeff Bezos’s extravagant wealth contrasts sharply with the struggles of Amazon warehouse workers . This hoarding of resources is not only morally reprehensible but also economically unsustainable.
The Corruption of Virtue
The lust for power and control corrupts virtue. This is seen in scandals like those exposed in the Panama Papers, where political figures and corporate executives engage in corruption and bribery . Their unethical behavior compromises the integrity of our institutions.
The Neglect of Responsibility
Sloth is evident in the neglect of duty to address critical issues like climate change, or more broadly, environmental change. Despite clear evidence and public demand, leaders delay meaningful action, prioritizing short-term gains over long-term sustainability . This negligence is a betrayal of future generations.
Worship of Wealth and Power
Globalist elites idolize wealth and power, placing them above true values. This is evident in policies that prioritize economic growth at any cost, often sacrificing human and environmental well-being . The relentless pursuit of GDP growth over holistic well-being illustrates this misplaced worship.
Bastardization of Truth
They manipulate truth and spread misinformation to maintain control. This is seen in media bias and the proliferation of fake news, which distort public perception and undermine informed decision-making . The deliberate spread of disinformation during political campaigns exemplifies this deceit.
Plundering of Resources
Theft is committed through the plundering of resources from poorer nations. Multinational corporations extract wealth from these countries, leaving them impoverished. The exploitation of Congo’s minerals by foreign companies, leading to severe environmental and social consequences, is a glaring example .
Breach of Trust
Adultery here refers to the breach of trust between leaders and the public. The misuse of personal data by companies like Cambridge Analytica betrays public trust and undermines democratic processes . This breach of trust damages the fabric of society.
Profiting from Death
Globalist elites profit from systems that lead to unnecessary deaths. The pharmaceutical industry’s prioritization of profit over accessibility, resulting in preventable deaths due to lack of affordable medicine, is a stark example . The opioid crisis, fueled by pharmaceutical greed, highlights this lethal prioritization.
Insatiable Desire for More
Covetousness is evident in the relentless corporate expansion at the expense of local communities and the environment. The aggressive land grabs and displacement of indigenous peoples by corporations seeking resources illustrate this insatiable desire for more, regardless of the human cost .
Denial of Fair Treatment
Injustice is perpetuated through policies that deny fair treatment to marginalized groups. Systemic racism and economic inequality, sustained by discriminatory practices and laws, are blatant examples . The disproportionate impact of criminal justice policies on minority communities underscores this deep-seated injustice.
Subjugation of the Weak
The elites maintain power by oppressing the weak. This is seen in the exploitation of migrant labor and the suppression of workers’ rights, ensuring that the most vulnerable remain powerless . The conditions of migrant workers in the Gulf states, often akin to modern slavery, exemplify this oppression.
Dissemination of Lies
Deceit is rampant among the elites, who spread lies to maintain control. Political propaganda and corporate advertising often mislead the public and manipulate behavior . The disinformation campaigns during elections highlight this deceit.
Undermining of Progress
Sabotage occurs when elites undermine progress to protect their interests. Fossil fuel companies lobby against environmental regulations, delaying action on climate change and hindering the transition to sustainable energy . The suppression of Tesla’s early innovations by established energy interests reflects this sabotage.
Their actions merely reflect Mankind's failure to uphold the principles of justice, equity, and moral responsibility.
Thus, let us recognize these inequities and strive to hold those in power accountable. By addressing these fundamental sins and advocating for ethical leadership, we can work towards a more just and equitable society. Let us embrace our collective responsibility to challenge these injustices and build a world where integrity, compassion, and justice prevail.
