On-page SEO and Off-page SEO are types of SEO, determined by whether the SEO activities are performed on the web page or outside the web page. Don't confuse these with Black Hat SEO and White Hat SEO, as they are different concepts. On-page SEO and Off-page SEO are categories of SEO, while Black Hat SEO and White Hat SEO are techniques used in SEO.

On-page SEO

On-page SEO is performed on our website, web pages, blogs, or any other optimizations that are within our control. It includes elements such as the structure of HTML, the title of the page, url, and the content of the page. Key elements of On-page SEO are :

  • Meta tags and Heading tags

  • Keyword Opimization

  • URL structure

  • Quality Content

  • Responsiveness

Off-page SEO

Off-page SEO is performed outside of our website. It mainly focuses on ranking factors that occur outside of our website, such as backlinks and brand mentions. Key elements of SEO are :

  • Backlinks

  • Brand Mentions

  • Social Media Marketing

Why is On-page SEO important ?

It's important for a website to improve its search engine ranking to earn organic traffic by helping search engines understand the content of the web page and determine whether it is relevant to the user's query.

It's important for website because it helps search engines understand how the online world perceives a particular website.
