try-catch: out of code
Hi guys, how it's going?
This time I want to talk about the try-catch, but not in code environment. Think this: how do you manage the errors or issues in real life? How is your first answer to that?
Let me tell you something, nobody was born knowing nothing (you know nothing Jon Snow...). Jokes aside, it's the truth. But... how can you do?
Tolerance for failure: how to do
That's right, when you're programming, you found tons of errors or issues. It's the rule. Mostly when you're starting to programming. When you're learning you need to stay calm, try to accept the issues because they're normal and they're the main rule.
And you need to learn to manage that. How to get closer to the issues, analyze them and then become in one with the issues. I mean, the problems are part of our lives, we are solving problems always. You don't know what eat? You're solving a problem. You need choose between two options to go out with friends? Always, in every situation we're solving problems. The most tiny thing that you can think, well... you are solving problems.
So, how that can be helpful to us? Short answer: you are improving your solving skills. That can be very hard to train in a big scale, but not impossible. It's the most valuable ability for devs and other workers. Indeed, to everybody.
Try to think in a very long race. You can't give up when you have a trouble. You need to fix it and continue with the race. You have a lot of time to recover your "lost time". In real life, your time is limited. But you need to manage time like a master. Sometimes when we fail, we stay stuck, thinking about our negative thoughts. It's normal thinking about negative thoughts, but for a short. So you need to stay strong, think in positive, stay with people who love you and makes you shine.
Try to think in every possible solution and implement the try-catch. Do it like if you're a piece of code from these try-catch. Think in all the possibilities, try to catch the most realistic situations and closer, then write in a notebook in a bullet point format: * problem/issue - solution.
Don't extend the answer more than one line, be pragmatic. a few days later, read your notes, and think how do you managed to solving the problems. If you don't solve a problem yet, no worries, think another solution, write again, talk with friends about that. You need to put it out of your mind.
I hope that helps to you with the daily issues/problems and remember: you are here to learn, to live and enjoy the life.
See you next time!!!
