1Password Cheatsheet
Getting Started
Download 1Password: 1Password Download Page
Create an Account: Sign up on the 1Password website to create your account.
Basic Navigation
Vaults: Organize your items into different vaults for better management.
Categories: Different types of items like Logins, Secure Notes, Credit Cards, Identities, etc.
Tags: Add tags to items for easy searching and organization.
Adding Items
Add a Login:
Open 1Password.
Click the "+" button or "New Item".
Select "Login" and fill in the details (URL, username, password).
Click "Save".
Add a Secure Note:
Click "New Item".
Select "Secure Note".
Enter your note and save it.
Add a Credit Card:
Click "New Item".
Select "Credit Card".
Enter your card details and save.
Using 1Password in Your Browser
Install the Browser Extension:
Go to the 1Password extension page for your browser.
Install the extension.
Autofill Logins:
Go to a login page.
Click the 1Password icon in your browser toolbar.
Select the login you want to use.
Security Features
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA):
Add 2FA to your accounts using 1Password's built-in authenticator.
Save backup codes securely in 1Password.
Watchtower:
Go to the Watchtower section in 1Password.
Check for weak, reused, or compromised passwords.
Managing Vaults
Create a New Vault:
Go to the Vaults section.
Click "Create Vault" and name your new vault.
Move Items Between Vaults:
Select the item you want to move.
Click the "..." button and choose "Move to Vault".
Sharing Items Securely
Share an Item:
Select the item you want to share.
Click the "Share" button or the "..." button and choose "Share".
Choose how you want to share the item (email, link, etc.).
Shared Vaults:
Create a shared vault for teams or family members.
Add members to the shared vault with appropriate permissions.
Backup and Recovery
Backup Your Vault:
1Password automatically backs up your vault.
You can also export your vault manually by going to Settings > Export.
Emergency Kit:
Download your Emergency Kit from your 1Password account.
Store it securely as it contains your account details and Secret Key.

Keyboard Shortcuts:
Open 1Password mini:
Ctrl + Shift + Space
(Windows) /Cmd + Shift + Space
(Mac).Search 1Password:

in 1Password mini.
Custom Fields:
- Add custom fields to items to store additional information.
Watchtower Alerts:
- Enable Watchtower to get alerts about security vulnerabilities, reused passwords, and more.
1Password X:
- Use 1Password X, a standalone browser extension, for a streamlined experience.
Mobile App Features
Unlock with Biometrics: Use fingerprint or face recognition to unlock 1Password.
Password Autofill: Enable autofill in your phone’s settings for easier login on mobile apps.
Secure Notes: Access and create secure notes on the go.
