Cloud Computing and its types in simple language.

Cloud Computing:-

Cloud Computing is a technology that helps to use computing resources with the help of internet. like storage, servers, databases, and so on. Instead of owning and maintaining physical hardware and software users can access these resources on-demand from cloud providers like AWS, Azure, etc.

Type of Cloud Service Modals:-

1. SaaS ( Software as a Service)

2. PaaS ( Platform as a Service)

3. IaaS ( Infrastructure as a Service)

IaaS:-

IaaS is the cloud service where You rent the hardware to run your application on, and you are responsible for managing the OS, runtime, scale, and all the data.

For Example :- Google Compute Engine, AWS Elastic Compute Cloud....

In other words IaaS is like leasing a car and you care about everything like colour, engine, model and so on and you are the one who is driving.

PaaS :-

In PaaS you do not handle the servers and scaling up, Basically PaaS ( Platform as a Service ) is a complete development and deployment environment in the cloud. Just like IaaS PaaS also includes Infrastructure - like servers, storage and networking but you only manage the application and services you develop.

So, that means PaaS is mostly used by developer to avoid complexity of buying and managing software license and support the building, testing, deploying, managing and updating of software.

If you are still confused between IaaS ( Infrastructure as a Service) and PaaS ( Platform as a Service) till the end you will get it. so, be patience.

For Example :- Kubernetes, Digital Ocean and so on

In Other Words PaaS is like Renting a car and you do not care about it's colour, performance and how many miles it is driven but still you are the one who is driving and paying for bills.

SaaS :-

SaaS ( Software as a service ) is a cloud service which allows users to have access to a software or service of a company through the internet.

For Example :- Uber, Lyft, Instagram and so on

In other Words SaaS is like uber or taxi where you do not care about anything like colour, tyre, nothing and you do not even drive or pay for gas. You just care about the service you order from the app like ride or food.
