How Does a Pre-PIP Work?

The Pre-PIP process is designed to be transparent and inclusive:

1. Pre-PIP Shared: The Push Foundation releases a Pre-PIP with details like the proposed change, its purpose, and how it will be implemented. You’ll find them conveniently located in the Push forum: Pre-PIP How-To: Process+Template.

2. Community Discussion: This is your time to shine! You have 7 days to engage in the forum. Comment, ask questions, and discuss the Pre-PIP with fellow community members. Share your thoughts, concerns, and potential improvements.

3. Temperature Check: After the 7-day discussion period, the Push Foundation conducts a “temperature check” through a 3-day poll in the forum. The poll offers a simple “for” or “against” option, allowing you to directly express your support or concerns regarding the Pre-PIP.

4. Moving Forward: Based on your valuable feedback during the discussion and poll, the Foundation finalizes and implements the proposal. But that’s not all! They then submit a post-implementation review for further community input. This ensures continuous improvement and a protocol shaped by its users.
