EVE has announced the groundbreaking of a new lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery factory in the United States.

EVE Lithium Energy has announced that its US lithium iron phosphate battery joint venture company, AMPLIFY CELL TECHNOLOGIES LLC (ACT), held a groundbreaking ceremony in Mississippi, USA. The ACT company, a joint venture between Yiwei Lithium Energy's wholly-owned subsidiary EVE ENERGY US HOLDING LLC, Electrified Power Holdco LLC (Cummins), Daimler Trucks & Buses US Holding LLC, and PACCAR Inc., will produce prismatic lithium iron phosphate batteries primarily for the designated North American commercial vehicle market. The facility is expected to have an annual production capacity of around 21GWh and provide over 2,000 local jobs, with shipments slated to begin in 2026.

According to the introduction, Dr. Liu Jincheng, Chairman of Yiwei Lithium Energy, Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves, US Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith, as well as Cummins Chairman and CEO Jennifer Rumsey, Daimler Trucks North America President and CEO John O'Leary, and PACCAR CEO Preston Feight attended the groundbreaking ceremony.

ACT (AMPLIFY CELL TECHNOLOGIES LLC) is an independent joint venture company established in the US by Yiwei Lithium Energy's wholly-owned subsidiary EVE ENERGY US HOLDING LLC ("EVE US"), Cummins, Daimler Trucks, and PACCAR.The joint venture company will produce prismatic lithium iron phosphate batteries primarily for the designated North American commercial vehicle market. The facility is expected to have an annual production capacity of around 21GWh and provide over 2,000 local jobs, with shipments slated to begin in 2026.The three partner companies and their affiliates will be the main customers, purchasing the majority of the products from this facility.
