Introduction:
Greetings everyone,
I am excited to share my experience and accomplishment as an ALX Software Engineering Program participant. The program is one-year-long, and I am now approaching its completion. As part of the program's requirements, I developed an MVP for my portfolio, which I named dywl App. dywl App is a web-based platform aimed at facilitating the learning App and many more. It targets Software App and has two distinct platforms - a USSD application for regular users and a web application for administrators.
Dywl App's Platform:
Dywl App's USSD platform provides a simple and easy-to-use interface for users to register and access the platform. Once registered, users can sell and order Students, and track orders and the status of their learning. The SMS-based system enables users to submit their task to check and results regarding their performance skill.
Dywl App's web application is designed for administrators and enables them to better learning, view results, and analyze the soiutions to the problem. The web application uses ReactJS and Laravel, robust frameworks for building scalable web applications. The application is hosted on a MySQL database, a popular open-source database management system.
Technology Used:
The development of Dywl App's utilized Africa's Talking API, Laravel, ReactJS, and MySQL. Africa's Talking API is a communication platform that enables developers to create innovative applications that can interact with mobile phones in Africa. Laravel is a popular PHP framework used for developing web applications, while ReactJS is a JavaScript library used for creating user interfaces. MySQL is a relational database management system used for storing data in a structured manner.
Conclusion:
The development of Dywl App's was an exciting and challenging experience that allowed me to hone my software development skills. The project not only met the requirements of the ALX Software Engineering Program but also provided a practical solution to students who often struggle to access learn how to build Android App's. I am proud of my achievement and look forward to developing more innovative solutions in the future.
